General Pest Control
Treat the strip of ground where the wall meets the soil and the inside of the house gets quiet.
Learn about General Pest ControlPest work in Falcon starts with the ground it stands on. The town sits on the west side of the South River, which feeds the Black River and the wider Cape Fear watershed, in northeastern Cumberland County, with a small part of it reaching east into Sampson County. NC 82 runs through the center, a mile and a half from I-95, and Fayetteville is eighteen miles away by the interstate. A few hundred people live here, so the pattern is farmland on one side of a property line and a house on the other. That means mice coming in from cut fields, wasps in outbuildings, and mosquitoes off wet low ground near the river after rain. None of it needs a large program. It needs the gaps closed, the sheds looked at, and standing water dealt with before the season builds.
Knowing why pests turn up here is what makes treatment hold. These are the factors we look at first in Falcon.
You are looking at a small village core with rural properties along the roads out of town through most of Falcon. Where the build is slab on grade the story moves indoors: slabs shrink back from the foundation wall, and the bath trap and plumbing penetrations become the route up before anybody hears a thing.
South River lifts the humidity under the floor noticeably. Cardboard stored down there, stacked lumber and sagging insulation all turn into harbourage in those conditions, and hauling them out is often half the result.
River ground close by, so mosquito pressure builds early and holds through the summer. It repeats reliably enough to plan around, which is why a rolling schedule beats a one-off call-out on nearly every property along here.
We would rather you knew the range now than found out after the visit. Anything outside these figures gets explained before we start.

A long standing timber framed building in the center of the village, the sort of structure where roof void wasps and wood boring insect evidence both turn up.

On your own property, yes, within limits. Treatment targets where adults rest during the day, in shrubs and shaded vegetation, and removes what breeds on the property: containers, blocked gutters, tarps, low spots holding water for a week. The river itself is not treated, and expectations should be a real reduction rather than an empty yard.
They are handled in the same visit but in different places. Ticks and chiggers sit in leaf litter, tall grass and the edge where a lawn meets scrub or pine, so the work is a border treatment plus cutting that edge back. Check yourself after being out, and remove an attached tick promptly with fine tipped tweezers, pulling steadily straight out.
Not always. Where the pressure is seasonal, a one time treatment at the right moment plus some exclusion work can be better value than a year of visits. A plan makes more sense with outbuildings, a wooded boundary or repeat activity. Ask for both prices and pick with the figures in front of you rather than agreeing to whatever is offered first.
Usually yes. Falcon is about 18 miles northeast of Fayetteville, 1.5 miles from I-95, so a call in the morning generally lands a slot that afternoon. The overnight line takes anything unsafe or spreading, weekends and holidays included. If it is active but staying in one room, a booked daytime visit is the same treatment for less.
No charge, no obligation afterwards, and you keep the photographs and the written figure whether or not you go ahead with anything.
